Water therapy is beneficial for alleviating pain and inflammation in any organ of the body. Hot and cold water therapy is one of the widely used home remedies for foot pain. Fill two buckets one with warm water and another with cold water, soak your foot in bucket containing warm water for 3 or 4 minutes and later in cold water for same duration, repeat few times and perform this entire process 2-3 times in the day. This therapy diffuses inflammation and circulates blood in the region to heal damage and relieve pain. Continue performing this till you gain relief.

Cold compresses or application of ice pack also works as one of the simple and effective home remedies for foot pain. You can keep peas in freezer for 30-45 minutes to chill. Collect these in a plastic bag and tie it to the affected region. Let it stay for 20-30 minutes and keep repeating after regular intervals till you gain relief.

You can also crush 4 or 5 ice cubes and fill these in a plastic bag and apply over affected region. Let the ice pack stay till area becomes numb and remove, allow blood flow to begin and apply again, repeat these cycles 5-6 times and perform this entire process 2-3 times in the day till pain goes away.

Use Epsom Salt for Tired and Painful Feet

You can take a bucket half-filled with warm water, add two tablespoons of Epsom salt to it and stir till it gets dissolved. Soak your feet in the solution for 15-20 minutes. Wash and wipe the foot dry and repeat 2 or 3 times during the day. Epsom salt relieves pain and also diffuses inflammation to provide relief. It contains magnesium which is very useful for relieving pain and heals damaged tissues and muscles. Epsom salt soaks are reliable foot pain remedies.

Massages are also very useful in relieving pain and inflammation and speeding-up healing process. Use clove oil for massages for faster results. Take sufficient amount of clove oil and make it warm, massage entire foot focussing more over painful region and wear socks. You can repeat massages 2-3 times in the day after a gap of few hours.

If you have sensitive skin or cut or blister over foot dilute clove oil with equal amount of coconut or olive oil and massage. Use warm oils for faster effects. Massages are trusted natural remedies for foot pain.

Cayenne Pepper – Natural Pain Reliever for Foot Pain

Cayenne pepper is very effective pain-reliever. It works better than OTC pain relievers and also helps in diffusing inflammation to repair the damage in a short time. Add a teaspoon of cayenne pepper to a bucket filled half with warm water. Soak your foot in the solution for 15-20 minutes. Repeat 2 or 3 times in the day.

You can also add a teaspoon of cayenne pepper to a tablespoon of warm olive oil and mix them. Apply this paste over entire foot and wear socks. Repeat applications twice in a day cayenne pepper relieve pain and promote movement. Many people suffer with foot pain due to cold feet. Put half teaspoon of cayenne pepper in your socks before wearing shoes to handle the problem. All of these are useful foot pain remedies.

Sage Leaves and Apple Cider Vinegar – Foot Pain Remedies

Sage leaves and apple cider vinegar in combination are wonderful natural remedies for foot pain. Take handful of sage leaves and crush these mildly, add to a cup of apple cider vinegar and put the mixture to heat. Give this mixture 2-3 boils and allow it to steep and become warm. Soak a cotton cloth in the mixture and apply over painful foot. Leave it on for 10 minutes and apply few times. You can repeat entire process 2-3 times in the day and continue till problem subsides.

Apple Cider Vinegar and Water for Tired and Aching Feet

For a simpler way prepare a solution by adding two cups of apple cider vinegar to a jug full of warm water. Collect the mixture in a suitable container and soak your feet for 15 minutes. Wash and wipe later and repeat till problem gets resolved.
