Drink Plenty of Water Daily – Acidity Remedy
Few simple steps can be taken which are effective home remedies for acidity. Do not lie down you can take a walk to let gas move out and speed-up metabolism to digest acid. Drink 8-10 glasses of water at normal temperature daily. Water will help in diluting acids and removing it out of the stomach.
Chew Sugar – Free Gum
Chewing sugar-free gum helps in expelling gas which regurgitates acid in esophagus. The saliva which is created by chewing gums helps in nullifying acids present in stomach.
Drink Lemonade to Get Relief from Acidity
You can also prepare a glass of lemonade by squeezing one lemon’s juice to a glass of plain water, add a teaspoon of baking soda and drink instantly. Lemon juice also helps in faster digestion and removal of acid in stomach.
Baking Soda Helps to Reduce Stomach Acid

2-3 cups of chamomile tea can do wonders in relieving acidity and heartburn. This tea is also excellent for relieving stress which triggers acidity. Drinking one cup of chamomile tea before bedtime brings sound sleep. Add one or two teaspoons of dried chamomile flowers to a cup of boiling water and allow mixture to steep. Drink after straining when mixture is warm.
Do not add sugar use honey if you want to sweeten the tea a bit. Repeat twice or thrice in a day. One or two cups of chamomile are effective natural remedies for acidity which also prevent the problem from occurring.
Drink Ginger Tea to Treat Acidity and Gas Problem
Like chamomile ginger tea is also one of the effective acidity remedies. Ginger has extra-ordinary properties which improve metabolism it suppresses release of acids in higher volume and also stimulates secretion of enzymes which metabolize food faster. Digestive properties of ginger prevent gas and acid formation and speed-up digestion of complex food items. It is also effective in suppressing food allergies which are common causes of hyperacidity.
Crush two inch long piece of ginger and add to one and a half cup of water. Boil the mixture covered with a lid for 10 minutes and later allow it to steep. When it is warm strain and drink, and repeat after regular intervals till problem subsides.
Take some precautions to prevent acid build-up during digestion. Eat high fibre foods and maintain water intake. Eat timely diet and avoid over-eating, also avoid spicy ad greasy foods and maintain a diet chart to strike-out foods which trigger acidity.
