Ingredients

  • Peanuts
  • Kosher salt
  • Honey
  • Peanut or vegetable oil

To get basic peanut butter you need to take about 2 cups or 300 grams of shelled unsalted peanut butter, one-fourth to three-fourth teaspoon of kosher salt, 1 to 2 teaspoons of honey and 1 to 3 teaspoons of peanut or vegetable oil.

Steps

  1. Roast peanuts at 350 F in oven for 3 to 4 minutes. Take the pan out shake it and turn peanuts and roast again for 3 to 5 minutes till these become crisp and brownish in colour.
  2. If you do not have oven take some common salt about 1 to 2 cups and put it in a pan, add peanuts and roast.
  3. Keep stirring the mixture so that every nut gets roasted properly. Break the shells and take peanuts out, remove the thin covering and put these in a blender.
  4. If you want crunchy peanut butter, simply process peanuts in the blender till these turn into a paste.
  5. But if you want smooth butter add salt and honey and blend, if butter is too thick add vegetable or peanut oil in small quantity till you achieve desired consistency.
  6. Store in an airtight container and keep it refrigerator.

Almond Peanut Butter Recipe

Here is one of the simplest homemade peanut butter recipes for almond peanut butter.

Homemade Almond Peanut Butter Recipe

Ingredients

  • Peanuts
  • Almonds
  • Kosher salt
  • Honey
  • Peanut or vegetable oil

Take 150 grams each of peanuts and almonds, and one-fourth to three-fourth teaspoon of kosher salt, 1 to 2 teaspoons of honey and 1 to 3 teaspoons of peanut or vegetable oil.

Steps

  1. Roast peanuts as described above and put them in a blender, add unsalted whole almonds too and blend them together till these for a paste.
  2. Add salt and honey and blend again to mix them evenly. If you need to make consistency thinner add some oil otherwise it is done.
  3. Collect and store and enjoy tasty and highly nutritious almond peanut butter.

Chocolate Peanut Butter Recipe

Chocolate Peanut Butter Recipe

There is one more homemade peanut butter recipe which will give butter with chocolate flavour. Chocolate peanut butter is favourite of kids and they gain nutrition too for their growing bodies.

Ingredients

  • Peanuts
  • Kosher salt
  • Peanut or vegetable oil
  • Cocoa powder
  • Powdered sugar

To prepare this you will need 2 cups or 300 grams of shelled unsalted peanuts, half teaspoon of kosher salt, 2 tablespoons of peanut or vegetable oil, 45 grams of unsweetened cocoa powder and one and half cups of powdered sugar.

Steps

  1. Roast peanuts as described above add the nuts to a blender.
  2. Process for a minute and clean the walls of blender and blend again for 2 to 3 minutes until butter becomes shiny and smooth.
  3. Now add all the other ingredients and blend again till these mix well and form a smooth paste. If consistency is thick you can some more oil.
